Infinix Hot 10S

Alright ! Infinix Hot 10S. From the past 1 - 1.5 year Infinix have brought some really good value for money phones especially in budget segment & Hot 10S promises to carry on that kegacy

Yes there some good & big things to talk about Infinix Hot 10S...

The base variant of this phone starts from 9,999 Rs & it gets 90 Hz fast refresh rate. I don't think any other phone under 10K has a fast 90 hz refresh rate but Hot 10S gets it.

Alright ! Phone is here right up front.. with Helio G85 SoC, 48 MP triple cameras, 90 Hz screen, 6000 mAh battery & Dar-Link. We’ll see what that is

You get a 10W charger but the phone supports 18W fast charging. You get A….. [upset] [upset]...... Micro USB cable. It should've been USB type c cable

Alright & sim card tray with some documentation. It comes with a hard case and not a soft TPU case, Nice. You also get a scratch guard bundled inside the box.

Let's keep everything aside and let's take a look at the phone. Ohh look at that design, it's a very very interesting design. I’ll say absolutely flashy & jazzy. I actually like it

But I’ll tell you one thing. This phone is big ! Seriously big. With case on - it fits nice with the case

The phone is looking good TBH with you. It's big and slightly on the heavier side but overall it's looking good. Hard case is raised slightly above the screen. No problem with the case as it fits well. It's a hard case

Time to weigh the phone, it should be around 205-210 grams. Lets see - Yes 210 grams. Right, absolutely perfect. Its slightly on the heavier side as it packs a big 6000 mAh battery.

Ports & buttons - Bottom side you get speaker grill, Micro USB port, microphone, 3.5mm jack. On the left side - you have a sim card tray. On top side - No noise cancelling mic. On right side - you get volume rocker & power button

Infinix Hot 10S

Sim card tray comes with a dedicated MicroSd card slot.

It's has big display. You get a 6.82’’ HD+ IPS LCD display with 90 Hz fast refresh rate display. The bezels here are smaller & because of that screen to body ratio is 90.6 % which is quite good.

It comes with NEG glass protection with 440 nits of peak brightness & with 90 Hz screen it also has 180 hz touch sampling rate.

Specifications - It comes with Helio G85 SoC, with 6000 mAh battery with 10W charger included but supports 18W charging. It has 2 variants - 4GB + 64GB At 9,999 Rs & 6GB+64GB At 10,999 Rs

Has LPDDR4X RAM & eMMC storage type. One thing I haven't seen yet - is the OS. This is the new & updated OS - XOS 7.6 based on Android 11 with many nice addons

I mean it looks much cleaner, simpler & optimed with a lot of features as well.
Power Marathon - this will extend your battery life upto 25%

One more interesting feature is called Thunder Back. It basically is picture in picture mode which allows you to work on other apps while watching videos on other apps.

With X clone mode - you can colne apps. Xhide. They’ve added X before everything. One more thing - It does come with many third party apps which can be uninstalled.

Performance - Helio G85 is a decent budget SoC with 220K AnTuTu Score which is quite decent. For gaming - you can easily play on medium to high settings with 90 Hz & doesn’t feel like a sub 10K phone.
And I really like the gaming performance. Also it comes with Dar Link mode which is a game mode where it keeps the thermal in control, gives you boosted colors & increases touch response. But why Dar Link Name ?

Let's talk about cameras - 48MP primary sensor + 2MP Depth + AI lens, triple camera setup. But I’ll talk about 48 MP only & will discount the other 2 sensors

In normal conditions it captures some good images. We’ve not tried in low light conditions but first impressions are quite decent with 48MP rear camera
Comes with an 8MP selfie camera with dual LED front flash so in low light those two LED flash light up & brightens up your face to take some good selfies. Interesting ! All these features below 10K. Very Good !

It gets a 360 degree light mode which lights up the rear flash & front LED flash so you have more lights around.
Interestingly, the camera app in XOS 7.6 has been updated with new features. Bokeh video mode, 240 fps slow motion videos, timelapse, night mode etc. so again lots of features added to the camera app
Sensors - Yes it gets all the sensors with physical fingerprint sensor on the back which is positioned on higher side, so if you have small hands you’ll have to reach toward it

Face unlock is present and both fingerprint & face unlock work well

Connectivity - comes with dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi calling, Bluetooth 5.0 & Dual band WiFi. So all connectivity options are there

Additional features includes FM radio, no notification light, SAR value is within limits, supports WideVine L3 because of HD+ screen & Cam2Api is supported for G-Cam ports.

Multimedia - Has a big HD+ screen for enjoying content on the big screen & audio is decently loud because of DTS tie up. Video quality is also decent with bright colors but viewing angles aren't that good b’coz of HD+ LCD screen.

Infinix Hot 10S

Overall, I’ll tell you what - This is a BIG value for money smartphone. Big because of seriously big screen with 6000 mAh big battery which will easily last you for 1-1.5 days of usage

And performance of G85 is quite good and that updated OS is also nice. There’s a lot of things going for the price & I think this one is a good one.
